At Baan Maprao, guests will enjoy personalised service provided by a team of professionally trained staff who will do their utmost to ensure a pleasurable experience. Their warm, friendly service can be tailored to meet the specific needs of guests. Just inform the villa manager of your desired staff presence – for example, at mealtimes only, or on hand to serve snacks and drinks throughout the day – and service will be tailored to suit you preferences.
Baan Maprao’s friendly manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The manager’s job is to oversee and coordinate the staff and property and to assist guests during their stay.
The villa’s professionally trained chef prepares a wide range of Western and Asian dishes and is responsible for grocery shopping. Special requests and dietary requirements are catered for wherever possible.
Full-time housekeeping staff attend daily to all cleaning and tidying requirements at the villa and provide service at mealtimes.
Grounds keeping staff maintain Baan Maprao’s expansive lawn, gardens and swimming pool.
Baan Maprao is kept safe and secure 24 hours a day by estate security staff working rotating shifts.
Baan Maprao’s personal chef prepares breakfast (which is included in the villa rate), lunch and dinner daily. Chose from fresh seafood appetizers, locally caught seafood grilled to perfection and a wide variety of soups and curries. Delicious desserts include pumpkin in coconut milk and mango with sticky rice. This, paired with a competitively priced selection of wines, stunning indoor and outdoor dining spaces and five-star service, will ensure a sublime dining experience.
The menu offers an excellent choice of priced set meals or individual dishes (in which case provisions are charged at cost plus a 20% shopping fee plus VAT at 7%. There is a minimum shopping fee of 750 THB). A modest selection of Western dishes may be prepared on request, and the chef is happy to customise meals to guests’ preferred levels of spiciness and flavouring. For those who don’t know a ho mok from a som tum, the chef is there to offer guidance in exploring Thai cuisine.
Guests are encouraged to plan their meals together with the villa manager and chef, ideally a day in advance to allow time to buy groceries and prepare meals. To cover the grocery shopping costs, guests are asked to provide a cash float in advance, and staff will keep all receipts from their shopping for reference.
Family friendly advantages abound at Baan Maprao, where you can enjoy exclusive access to villa facilities and have the freedom to use them whenever you please. Children can play freely in a secure environment, which means parents can enjoy a more relaxed holiday, and the private home cinema with DVD player and sound system is bound to be a hit with young and old.
The friendly team of staff treat children as equals and are there to lend a helping hand. This gives parents the flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitters incurs a small extra cost).
A fully equipped kitchen allows parents to prepare children’s meals with ease should they wish to, but the chef is more than happy to take on this duty and can adapt all dishes to suit younger tastebuds.
Sava space in your suitcases and let us organise any special kids’ equipment required for your stay. Just let us know what you need, and anything we don’t have in-house (villa facilities include baby cot, highchair, toys and games) we can hire on your behalf.
And when the thrill of exploring your luxury sea-view villa in Thailand begins to wear off, check out our Things to do page – there is plenty in the area to keep all the family entertained throughout the holiday.
Feel like a body scrub or massage? Just ask our staff to bring the spa to you! We can recommend deluxe treatments carried out by fully trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply). Here’s a sample of what’s on the menu:
An ancient traditional art, this method of massage was formerly administered on temple grounds by masters with healing abilities. By exerting pressure on specific points of the body and by manipulating muscles and ligaments, the spine is elongated and relieved of tension. The sense of well-being, as energy and flexibility are brought back into your body is extraordinary.
Using various blends of spice, citrus, aromatic, warm-up and citronella oils – this soft and smooth massage will have you feeling on top of the world in no time. The herbal oil massage is particularly recommended for people with little experience of Thai massage.
The traditional way of purifying and nourishing your face using natural products, such as our herbal cream cleanser and honey from the north of Thailand, as well as root masks and soft pressure point massage. This relaxing facial treatment will make your skin silky smooth, giving you a fresh and healthy feeling. The facial massage is popular with both men and women.
This is a treat for one of the most important – but often themost neglected – parts of the body. After the pressure point massage, herbal foot masque and herbal oil treatment, you’ll be walking on air.
Indulge, sit back and enjoy a quality manicure or pedicure by a professional therapist. The pedicure consists of a luxury foot soak, foot scrub and exfoliation to soften those weary feet.
Peacefully and privately situated on Phuket’s unspoilt Cape Yamu peninsula, Baan Maprao enjoys dazzling views over Phang Nga Bay. With a striking, contemporary Thai-style design, this luxury private villa optimises indoor and outdoor living to create an idyllic setting for discerning travellers.
Five spacious sea-view bedrooms, each with queen-size beds and opulent ensuite bathrooms, comfortably accommodate up to ten guests. Baan Maprao’s indoor spaces include a living area of cathedral-like proportions, with a vaulted timber ceiling suspended above stout columns and a wall of glass overlooking the pool. Indeed, glass features extensively throughout the villa, ensuring that every room maximises the sunlight and sea views, and creating bright airy spaces that can be air-conditioned or opened to the tropical elements. The living room’s opulent furnishings and sophisticated décor are carried through to an elegant 10-seater dining room, a private home cinema with adjoining lounge and a peaceful reading room.
The villa’s exquisite outdoor areas include a resplendent alfresco dining pavilion, an alluring 22-metre infinity pool bordered by a wide terrace furnished with sun loungers, and a large lawn that unfolds down a gentle slope towards the sea.
